Construction & Renovation

While its original construction cost is not readily available, Sensory Park has received significant investments for improvements. In 2019, an Adams County Open Space Grant of $375,000 combined with $250,000 from the Conservation Trust Fund budget, totaled $625,000 for vital upgrades including equipment replacement, surface improvements, and new entryway arches.

The park has served the community for over 17 years, with many sources indicating its popularity and initial funding/creation around 1998, making it one of the very first accessible playgrounds in the Denver area.
